Introduction

GrayModern2 is a port of popular classic GrayModern Mozilla Firefox theme. It is based on original themes by Bernie Zimmermann and Johannes Schellen.

I made it because there is no my favorite theme for new Mozilla Firefox 3 yet.

Since version 0.3.0 it supports Mozilla Firefox 3 browser.

Since version 0.4.0 it supports Mozilla Firefox 3.5 browser.

Since version 0.4.1 it supports Mozilla Firefox 3.6 browser.

Latest version — 0.4.2, released at November 16, 2009.

Installation

Install GrayModern2 theme v. 0.4.2 for Mozilla Firefox 3, 3.5 and 3.6.

Install GrayModern2 theme v. 0.2.15 for Mozilla Firefox 2.

You can install and update GrayModern2 theme from Firefox Add-ons.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When I open more than 8 tabs on screen, the «X»-button on the tabs dissapears. Can you fix it?
   No. This is the feature of Mozilla Firefox 2/3.
2. How about porting one more theme for Mozilla Firefox 2/3?
   I am working on GrayModern2 theme in my free time. I don't have enough time to support several themes.

Tabbar style rollback.

The previous update, the one that changed tabbar style, was not too good.
A lot of requests came to return the old bar.
Therefore I rolled back changes and slightly changed tabbar colours.
Looks much better, from my point of view.

AccessFirefox.com version

GrayModern2AF — version of the GrayModern2 theme for users with low vision (for Mozilla Firefox 2.*). I made it with Ken Saunders aspecially for Access Firefox project. Access Firefox presents and showcases some the accessibility tools and features that are available for the free Firefox Web browser.

The theme has large 48x48 blue and white icons and buttons, with large black text, and nice mouse over effects.

Icons were made by Ken Saunders and Vadim Plessky.
